Faculty of Information Technology Welcomes the Class of 2025: Embarking on a Journey of Knowledge and Creativity
A Jubilant Atmosphere on the First Day
On October 7, 2025, in Hall A301 at Campus 1 of Lac Hong University, the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) held a vibrant and warm Welcoming Ceremony for its new students, the Class of 2025.
The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for these future technology engineers. It also provided an opportunity for the freshmen to acclimate to the university environment, meet their lecturers, and learn about the Faculty's development goals for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Meeting – Orientation – Inspiration
The ceremony was attended by the Faculty Management Board, the heads of academic programs, esteemed lecturers, and many senior students who came to support and welcome the newcomers.

Opening the program, Ms. Van Dinh Vy Phuong – Dean of the Faculty of IT, extended her congratulations to all new students and shared insights on academic and personal development:
“Information Technology, Multimedia Communications, E-Commerce, and Artificial Intelligence are not just fields of study; they are journeys of self-discovery and continuous creativity. The Faculty will accompany you every step of the way.”
Following this, the Faculty's organizational structure and specialized departments were introduced. Students were guided on the academic process, course registration, and academic regulations, and provided with information on job opportunities and necessary professional skills. Furthermore, they were introduced to student support channels, shared insights into student life, Youth Union – Student Association activities, and community service.

The insights shared by the lecturers helped the new students better understand the academic system, development opportunities, and their responsibilities throughout their studies at the Faculty.
Exploring Four Majors and a Dynamic Learning Ecosystem
As part of the program, the Heads of Programs provided an overview of the Faculty of IT's four core majors:
- Information Technology: Focusing on programming, network systems, and cybersecurity.
- Multimedia Communications: Combining technology with digital content creation.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): Applied in automation and data analysis.
- E-Commerce: Linking technology with business operations in the digital age.
In addition, the Faculty also introduced its system of specialized laboratories, such as TALab, AILab, CiscoLab, and ProgLab – where students have the opportunity to research, practice, and develop technological ideas.
Academic clubs such as the Programming Club, AI Club, E-Commerce Club, and Media Club were also introduced, helping students practice soft skills, teamwork, and expand their academic community connections.
A New Journey Begins: Connection and Development
The final part of the program was an interaction session between new students, lecturers, and alumni. Real-life stories, learning experiences, and career orientation provided further motivation for the young students to confidently step into the university environment.

The ceremony concluded with a commemorative photo session featuring the Faculty Management Board, lecturers, and new students – capturing the beginning of a new journey filled with aspiration and confidence.

The event was not just a welcome activity for the new academic year; it also clearly demonstrated the "University of Applied Sciences" spirit of Lac Hong University—an orientation that closely links learning, research, and practical business application.
With a solid foundation and the guidance of their lecturers, we believe the IT students of the Class of 2025 will continue to uphold and promote the tradition of "confidence – creativity – integration," contributing to the prestige of the Faculty of Information Technology at Lac Hong University as a trainer of high-quality technology professionals.
