The project "Production and commercialization of Hymenopellis radicata" carried out by a group of students from LHU excellently won the Consolation prize at the 7th National Student Startup Day (SV Startup 2025) from April 18 to 20 by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Central Committee of HCM Communist Youth Union, HCM City People's Committee and HCM City University of Technology and Education.
This year's Competition attracted 775 startup projects from students nationwide. The Organizers selected the 125 best projects for the final round and awarded prizes across five groups: Industry, product manufacturing; Agriculture, forestry and fishery; Education, tourism, services, finance; Medical, health care, beauty technology; Business creating social impact.
A group of four students from the Faculty of Science and Food Technology and the Faculty of Administration - International Economics participated in the competition with their project titled "Production and commercialization of Hymenopellis radicata" mentored by Dr. Nguyen Van Tan and MSc. Mai Huong Tra. The group performed excellently and advanced to the final round of the Competition. At the closing and award ceremony, the group was awarded Consolation prize.
Also at the award ceremony, LHU and Dr. Nguyen Van Tan, Dean of the Faculty of Administration – International Economics, were awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training for their outstanding achievements in supporting student entrepreneurship during the 2017–2025 period.
This achievement is not only a great source of pride for the students and instructors but also a clear testament to the University's strong commitment, strategic orientation, and well-directed investment in fostering creative thinking, promoting entrepreneurial spirit among students, and enhancing the integration of scientific research with real-world applications.
